Speaki-inspired desktop pets: an original companion concept
A copyright-conscious look at designing a speaking-mascot-inspired desktop pet with nine expressive poses for CodePets.

Start with the idea, not the silhouette
Speaki made us think about a tiny companion that communicates through expressive gestures. Speakora takes that broad idea in a different direction: a coral-orange fox-like character, teal ear tips, a striped scarf and a small speech-bubble badge. The proportions, palette and costume are original design choices rather than a redraw of an existing mascot.
Nine actions for a useful desktop companion
The concept sheet explores idle blink, wave, thinking, surprise, sleepy stretch, thumbs-up, dance, coffee and heart. Each action is easy to read at a small size, which matters more for a desktop pet than fine detail. A production pack still needs frame-by-frame cleanup, transparent sprites and installation testing before it is offered as a download.
How CodePets keeps the reference honest
The CodePets preview labels this as an original, inspiration-led concept. It does not claim affiliation with Speaki, and it does not reuse the source character's name, face, costume or artwork. If you create a pack from your own idea, use images you have permission to process and review every frame for accidental background pixels or borrowed details.
Preview first, publish when it is ready
A concept preview is useful for collecting feedback on color and gestures. The next step is to turn the nine key poses into consistent loops, compare them on light and dark backgrounds, then publish the finished pack with a clear license note. That sequence gives CodePets visitors something to explore without presenting an unfinished prototype as a final download.
