How the sprite image works

A grid of animation frames

A spritesheet stores multiple poses in one transparent image. Our current nine-row packs use 192 × 208 pixel cells, eight columns and a 1536 × 1872 image. The website plays each row by moving a viewing window across these cells.

Animation versus interaction

A door-peeking row is a sequence of drawings. It does not contain global mouse-tracking code. The desktop client chooses when to play states; webpage previews cannot prove that every client interaction will behave identically.
